Meeting you where you're at so you can make the changes you need.
My name is Vanessa Heffington and I have been working as a clinician across several settings since 2014. I received my Bachelors degree from Chico State and went on to complete my Graduate degree in Counseling at Sacramento State. I also completed a continuing education program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through Florida Institute of Technology. I have worked in ABA, private practice, community based mental health, and education based behavior intervention and mental health counseling.
While working in ABA, I focused on language development, cognition, and adaptive skill building. In private practice and community based mental health, I've worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families through individual therapy, education based behavior intervention and counseling, social skills development in the individual and group settings, and caregiver psycho-education.
If you are seeking behavior-specific education/support, please see my educational course on Udemy: Basics of Behavior for Parents and Caregivers. Please note that this course is for educational purposes and not a replacement for therapeutic intervention or consultation.
